UNILAB

UNILAB

UNILAB is a powerful testing software that offers a comprehensive solution for controlling measurement and operational hardware. It enables the sequencing of testing steps, logging of results, and integration with various programming languages. Additionally, it allows remote control via a web interface or API, enhancing its flexibility and usability across a wide range of applications.

UNILAB is a modern testing tool that combines control over measurement and operational hardware with efficient sequencing of test steps. Its core is built on several parallel-running modules that manage the display of measured data, report results and statuses, configure the user interface, and control the tests. UNILAB also provides error logging, result logging, and database integration for more efficient data management.

One of the key advantages of this software is the ability to be remotely controlled via a web interface, public API, or through a connection with PLCs, greatly increasing its flexibility and usability. Testing in UNILAB is not dependent on a specific model, allowing both parallel and sequential modes, or even a combination of both. Test sequences are programmed in LabVIEW using predefined templates, resulting in a so-called PPL library.

UNILAB is also distinguished by its user-friendly interface with compact control panels, providing easy access to parameters and measured values during testing, all in one place – the UniRack. It supports integration with third-party instruments and provides prepared VIs, making work with various devices easier. Additionally, it supports integration with programming languages like Python, C, C#, and Matlab.

Another advantage is the ability to customize the user interface for operators so that all important information is clearly visible and easily understandable. UNILAB runs only on the LabVIEW runtime, meaning there’s no need to purchase additional licenses. A recent update introduces the option to remotely update instruments and the UNILAB software itself using NI Package Manager, further enhancing efficiency and convenience in managing testing equipment.
