Car tail light module tester

Car tail light module tester

The tester is designed for verifying the control electronics of an automotive rear LED light. The tested assembly consists of two printed circuit boards (PCB1 and PCB2) and includes LED functions for Tail, Stop, and Turn/Indicator (TI).

The system performs a combination of electrical and functional tests to ensure correct operation, proper assembly, and mechanical completeness of the part.

At the beginning of the test, the presence of the heat sink, sticker, and screw is verified using Keyence IV4 vision readers. If any of these elements are missing, the test is automatically rejected.

The electrical test phase includes measurement and detection of individual components on the PCBs using DMM and LCR instrumentation. After that, the LED functional test is performed. Each LED (Tail, Stop, TI) is activated and its light output and spectrum are evaluated using Feasa optical sensors. At the same time, current consumption is monitored to detect incorrect wiring or damaged LED circuits.

After the tests are completed, an identification label is automatically printed. The tester then checks whether the label has been applied correctly, ensuring full traceability and proper marking of every tested unit.
