Coolant heater tester for EV

Coolant heater tester for EV

Advanced Thermal Regulation Tester for EV Battery Systems

Ensure peak performance, safety, and longevity of electric vehicle batteries with our state-of-the-art thermal regulation tester. Designed for precise diagnostics and validation, this tool empowers engineers to monitor, simulate, and optimize thermal management strategies under real-world and extreme conditions. Essential for R&D, QA, and end-of-line testing.

For optimal performance, electric vehicle batteries require thermal management — heating in cold weather and cooling in high temperatures. Without proper temperature control, battery efficiency, lifespan, and driving range can be significantly reduced. Effective thermal regulation ensures consistent performance, safety, and reliability in all conditions. The DUT (Device Under Test) for our tester is a 9 kW coolant heater. It operates with high currents of up to 40 Amps and high voltages of up to 500 Volts.

Due to parasitic impedance, this tester requires the DUT's load to be placed as close to the DUT as possible. To dissipate that amount of power, a radiator is placed inside the tester and connected to the load via water pipes.
